Captain Services
DELIVERIES & SEA TRIALS
I provide a professional delivery service for owners repositioning power and sail vessels on the water in South Florida and up and down the Eastern Seaboard. My service is unique in that I personally work directly for you without intermediaries, agencies or other management fees. Depending on vessel size, I can either single-hand the delivery, or as a part of my services provide any additional crew that may be necessary, reviewed and agreed upon. Rates are reasonable and competitively negotiable.
DAY & EXTENDED CRUISES
I provide a flexible scope of cruising services that can be customized to meet your personal requirements for the enhancement of your boating experience. These services may include merely taking the helm while you relax or entertain guests on board for a lunch or cocktail cruise, or assuming full responsibility for all aspects of captaining your vessel for a weekend getaway, or extended cruise. I can also assume full responsibility for the total preparation of the boat for departure, and returning it to its prior condition upon return. Full provisioning of the boat, including menu planning, and food preparation services may be included. Full responsibility for any additional crew requirements can also be assumed. Reasonable rates are structured by the hour, or at a fixed rate for the assignment.
YACHT REFIT PROJECT MANAGEMENT
And if you are considering refitting your boat, I welcome any opportunity to discuss your ideas, requirements, and how I can be of help you. I have more than 30 years of marine experience in mechanical repairs, power plant replacement, hull and rigging repair and maintenance of both power and sail vessels. Through my hospitality development experience I have also accrued an abundance of professional expertise in project management, determination of the scope of work, liaison and negotiations with contractors, and on site supervision. That experience has also provided me with a good eye and an intuitive sense of good interior design, graphic art and artworks, seating, wall covers, carpets, and all other forms of soft furnishings. Reasonable fixed fees for these services are generally negotiated on the basis of a proposal for an agreed upon scope of services.
ADDITIONAL CREW & CATERING
These services are provided as requested in connection with my being retained for one or more of the services described above. With respect to additional crew, I have an established network of experienced associates who would be employed by me on a project-by-project contract basis, avoiding any owner responsibility for payments, taxes or other liability. Catering can be as simple as my providing beverages, snacks, cocktail finger foods, and hors d’oeuvres to arranging for an elegant lunch or dinner party at the dock or underway with the assistance of my direct relationship with one of Fort Lauderdale’s most prestigious restaurants.
